Rodney lit a cigarette and Brian stared out the window. Neither bastard could even look him in the eye.

“We’re getting old, man,” Jim said. He’d been Toxin’s vocalist for over twenty years. “Kids today don’t listen to our music any more. Hell, half of them wouldn’t even recognize us if we walked down the street! The guys and I made a tough decision. We took a vote and cut a deal.”

“And sold our souls to the devil?”

Jim shook his head slowly, sadly. “No, man. Just yours.”
